Our fire danger rating is still considered HIGH by MNR&F. Manitoulin Island is currently EXTREME. Ours may move in the extreme direction if we do not receive some good rain. BE VERY, VERY CAREFUL. I will try to keep you posted.

MNR&F has indicated that our fire danger rating has been changed to HIGH. As of 8:00 AM this morning, NEMI and MNR&F have not declared a fire ban. We must all continue to be very careful with anything that could cause a fire. I would not recommend open burning or fireworks. As of this morning, MNR&F indicates that our area fire danger rating is LOW with Manitoulin Island still rated as MODERATE. While we had one good rain, the forest floor is still very dry. I would NOT recommend open burning and use of fireworks.

The final week of Junior Sailing this year is being changed from Wednesday, July 27 to Tuesday, July 26. It is typically on Wednesdays, and we want to make sure that all of the kids know which day to come!
