At 12:00 PM August 18, 2016, NEMI finally LIFTED the municipal fire ban. While the fire ban has been lifted, I would encourage all individuals to be very careful with any activity (camp fires, burn barrels, open burning of anything, fireworks, etc.) that may cause a fire around your structures or in the forest.
THANK YOU for your continued cooperation.

Just called NEMI Fire Department at 1-705-368-3335 and the message indicated that the fire ban is STILL IN EFFECT until further notice.
I will continue to call on a daily basis and advise when the ban is lifted. Regardless, we all need to be very careful. THANKS!
