This is the island formerly known as “Burn Island”. The rock is deeply fractured and covered in nails, (in some places six inches deep) and ash from years of burning.

Dumping or burning of wood or construction debris on Crown Land is not legal without a valid Burning Permit.

The Garden Group is making an effort to restore the island with plantings of trees, grasses and natural vegetation.

As a community that cares, please assist in this effort and do not dump any debris at this location in the future. Respect the environment we are fortunate to inhabit. We can do so much better! Many thanks!
