Enjoy an unspoiled northern experience.
The Kayak Club is a loosely organized group whose common ground is the love of paddling and exploring many corners of the Bay.
Chuck Stanich and Jim Stewart provide experienced guidance and direction: they consider wind and weather, and everything... :-)
At 10:00 am on Fridays, meet at the Parish Hall Docks. We either depart by paddle, or continue by motorboat for a remote start.
Bring a life-jacket, lunch, sunscreen and a smile!
We return to the docks around 2:00pm
All levels of paddlers welcome.

Winds were South East and Light: without our fearless leaders we chose a remote start at Perin's and paddled through rocky bottoms to three bays. Seven kayaks, about 7.5km. Beautiful day on the water. Summer doesn't seem to be over yet!
Yet another great day for a a paddle: winds were south west and light, no rain! Ten die hard paddlers went from Margaret's through Splitrock, then continued south of Middle Sampson to the south end of Ragged Rock channel. We continued north to East West Channel, ducked through the shortcut between West Sampson and Tompkins: back to Margaret's. We went a total of 12.2 km/ 7.5 miles. We miss Chuck and Lynne :-(
Great day for a paddle today: we had a remote start in Scow bay and paddled from there through Ragged Rock and around East Sampson Island. The winds were SE and very light. It was nice to have everything calm: last week was not so much. We stayed in the middle of the bay, Margaret's plan! We had a pleasant lunch invitation on the deck at Rogers' and headed home through split rock. I believe there was six raindrops :-) No problem!
Keep paddling!

18 kayaks departed from the church docks and went clockwise around Iroquois Island with a side trip to three bays for lunch. The winds were W 17km when we departed and shifted to SW 22km by our return. We paddled 10.9km (or 6.77 miles). On our return leg we came through the swamp between Vim Island and Iroquois Island. It's much easier now with higher water levels!
Good Paddling Everyone!

Again the winds were light, 5-10 km. We chose a remote start in the North Channel and paddled to Russian pass and beyond! Its nice to be able to get through there easily again. We went about 9km: nice to have Chuck back. This week there were 14 boats: we encourage all levels of paddlers to join us!

Five kayaks paddled roughly 7 1/4kms. Winds were light. We paddled towards rocky bottoms and the heron rookery. There's babies there! We continued up to the north end of s narrows where we stopped for lunch. We paddled back the way we came for the most part: investigation...Nelly Bay portage is now a beaver dam lift-over: the water level is almost a foot higher above. Good paddling with good folks. Nice to get out on the water and enjoy the sunshine!
