Event Description

TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands will hold a Public Meeting for the purpose of receiving public comments and considering adoption of the proposed new Zoning By-law.

PUBLIC MEETING DATE: Tuesday, August 28, 2018, 6:00pm

PLACE: Council Chambers, 14 Water Street East
Little Current, ON

Section 26(9) of the Planning Act requires that a municipality update its Zoning By-law no less than 3 years following approval of a new Official Plan. The Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands’ Official Plan was approved in 2016, and the Town’s current Zoning By-laws for Little Current (By-law 2002-31) and the Rural Area (By-law 2002-32) were adopted in 2002. The new Zoning By-law consolidates the Town’s two by-laws in to one and updates zone boundaries, permitted uses, and regulations to ensure conformity with the Official Plan.

For more information about this matter, including information about preserving your appeal rights, contact the Town Clerk, Municipal Office, 14 Water Street East, Little Current, ON P0P 1K0 during regular business hours or visit the Town’s website.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION and copies of the draft Zoning By-law are available to the public for inspection on the Town’s website and during regular business hours at the Municipal Office.

Ms. Pam Cress, Clerk
Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands
14 Water Street East, P.O. Box 608, Little Current, ON P0P 1K0
Tel: 705-368-3500
