St. Christopher’s Church by Jan Rogers

St. Christopher’s Church in McGregor Bay has provided an opportunity for worship for people of the Bay for over 50 years.  St. Christopher’s Church is a part of the Anglican Diocese of Algoma.  Services are conducted from the first Sunday in June until the last Sunday in August.  The Diocese of Algoma provides the church with a student rector from one of the seminaries in Ontario.  The church also provides an opportunity for weddings and funerals.

The building of the Parish Hall has also provided an opportunity for fellowship and social activities.  Pot Luck Dinners, Bridge Lessons and Duplicate games, exercise classes, art classes, concerts and many other fun and fund raising activities take place at the Parish Hall each summer.

The Parish Hall and the Church are supported by the generous financial support of the community of McGregor Bay.  The McGregor Bay Association makes use of the Parish Hall, the surrounding property, and the Church's docks for its meetings and for events that it sponsors, paying rent for the privilege.
