Docks for the Bay

The docks at the church have been there for more years than I remember and that’s been a long time.  The church has put out a request for replacing a minimum of 8 docks (we have 16) with a response due by December 1st for delivery in the spring.  The challenge is to pay for them.  We don’t have the exact cost but estimate it to be about $5,000 each. Included in the proposal is repair and upgrade the cribs and attachment systems as needed.

The most important thing is to pay for them.  We have enough donations, including one from the MBA, to pay for most of them but would like finance as many as we can.  If you would like to make a donation, please send it to my Dayton address.  A donation of $5,000 will get a plaque on a dock but any donation will be gratefully accepted.

The old docks will be sold next spring at a price to be determined.  Those who donated a dock will get first pick.  Others who want one will have their names drawn from a hat to determine their sequence.

If there are questions, contact either me or Tom Kahl.
